What do you think of when it comes to abrasives?
- Nov 05, 2018 -

Abrasives are the general term for abrasives and abrasives, including abrasive products and abrasive products. Abrasives are known for their industrial teeth. Abrasives or abrasive tools are commonly used for grinding. As a grinding tool, mechanical parts are processed. Processing to meet certain technical requirements.

Commonly used abrasive mills include cutting discs and grinding discs, louver discs, quick-change grinding discs, bonded grinding wheels, chiba grinders and sandpaper grinding rings, non-bonded chisel grinding wheels, chiba grinding wheels, sandpaper rolls and piles, tungsten Steel rotating cymbal.

Classification of ordinary abrasives

1. Single crystal corundum abrasive. The particles are composed of a single crystal and have a good multi-edge cutting edge, high hardness and toughness, strong grinding ability, less heat generation, and disadvantages of high production cost and low output, so the price is relatively high. . Zirconium corundum abrasive is also a crystalline compound with a slightly lower hardness, a finer crystal size and better wear resistance.

2, brown corundum abrasive, the main component is Al2O3, with medium hardness, high toughness, sharp particles, relatively low price, suitable for processing high tensile strength metals. Microcrystalline corundum abrasives and black corundum abrasives are all derived varieties. .

3, black silicon carbide abrasive, green silicon carbide abrasive, cubic silicon carbide abrasive, silicon carbide abrasive, etc., belonging to silicon carbide abrasive, the main component is silicon carbide SiC, high hardness, brittleness, sharp abrasive grain, good thermal conductivity, Strong wear resistance, suitable for processing hard and brittle metal and non-metal products.

Abrasive classification

1. Abrasive tools are classified according to their raw materials, including natural abrasives and artificial abrasives. Natural abrasives commonly used in the machinery industry are only oilstone. Artificial abrasives are distinguished according to their basic shapes and structural features. There are five types of grinding wheels, grinding heads, oilstones, sand tiles (collectively referred to as consolidated abrasives) and coated abrasives.

2. Abrasives are roughly classified into three types: compact, medium and loose. Each class can be subdivided, etc., and is distinguished by the organization number. The larger the abrasive tissue number, the smaller the volume fraction of the abrasive in the abrasive tool, and the wider the gap between the abrasive grains, indicating that the tissue is looser. Conversely, a smaller organization number indicates a tighter organization. The abrasive material of the looser structure is not easy to passivate when used, and has less heat during the grinding process, and can reduce the heat deformation and burn of the workpiece. The abrasive grains of the tighter structure are not easy to fall off, which is beneficial to maintain the geometry of the abrasive tool. The organization of the abrasive tool is controlled only by the abrasive formula at the time of manufacture, and is generally not measured.

3. The ordinary abrasive bonded abrasive tool is a grinding tool which is fixed into a certain shape by a bonding agent and has a certain strength. Generally composed of abrasives, binders and pores, these three parts are often referred to as the three elements of bonded abrasives.
